Giants Roster Moves: Laron Scott (DB/KR) Added -- Is Clint Sintim Gone?

The New York Giants have reportedly signed rookie free agent cornerback/kick returner Laron Scott to their 90-man roster. Scott was in camp with the New Orleans Saints before being waived.

Scott, from Georgia Southern apparently misjudged a punt during his long preseason game with New Orleans. He did, however, have a 67-yard kickoff return.

The Giants have been down a cornerback since releasing undrafted free agent Janzen Jackson several days ago.

The Giants have not officially announced the signing, nor the corresponding roster move they need to make in order to put Scott on the roster. Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News tweeted that the new roster he received this morning did not include linebacker Clint Sintim. Could the Giants have parted ways -- finally -- with the oft-injured 2009 second-round pick? We will find out for sure later on.

As for Scott, I guess you can add another young player to the list of kick and punt return candidates. According to the Georgia Southern website, Scott averaged 30.6 yards per kickoff return last season, returning two for touchdowns.
