New York Giants Training Camp: Day 14 Practice Report

The call of 'Bands,' from head coach Tom Coughlin came at 3:15 p.m., ending the 2012 New York Giants Training Camp at UAlbany. Are the Giants packing up and leaving Albany forever? Could be, but that is a subject for a different discussion.

For now, your final on-field practice report of camp.

Injury Report

We reported the big injury news of the day earlier. Here are some other injury notes. David Douglas (quad) returned to practice. Ramses Barden did not practice. Neither did linebackers Michael Boley and Jacquain Williams. Head coach Tom Coughlin confirmed that Shaun Rogers is out for the season.

Practice Highlights

- A really nice day for Jerrel Jernigan. Curiously, Jernigan was absent during the first punt return session. He took part in the second, however. As a receiver, he made several nice catches on Tuesday. The best was a one-handed snag of a deep ball from David Carr with Brandon Bing in tight coverage. Jernigan also caught two other deep balls, once beating Prince Amukamara.

- Fullback Henry Hynoski actually took two handoffs today, one from Eli Manning and one from David Carr during a 'cards' portion of practice where the offense was running Jets' plays.

- Speaking of Hynoski, he caught two passes in the flat on successive plays and ran through Justin Tryon both teams, leading at least one defender to complain.

-- Manning was intercepted by Kenny Phillips on a seam route for Martellus Bennett. From Manning's reaction, it looked like he was expecting something from Bennett that he didn't get.

-- James Brewer drew Coughlin's wrath on one play. It's never good when the fans on the sideline can hear your name called out by the head coach, followed by cursing.

Much more in subsequent reports, but that is it as far as live reports from Albany.
