Giants summer questionnaire: defensive back Janzen Jackson | NJ.com
"Not being drafted, coming out early as a junior, you kind of have to prove yourself and where you stand on the team so every time you have a yellow cap on or you're on the scout team or you're out there starting I think you got to go out there and do your best and show your best. Show your coaches and your teammates what you can do, that you deserve to be out there."

Robert Griffin III: Osi doesn't have to call me RG3 - NFL.com
"One of my coaches at Baylor called me Bob," Griffin said Wednesday, via SI.com's Don Banks. "Nobody really calls me Bob. ... (Osi) doesn't have to call me RG3 at all."

Seattle Seahawks, Philadelphia Eagles flying high in 2012? - NFL.com
Giants will improve regular-season record ... but miss playoffs I already predicted the Carolina Panthers would win the NFC South when we had receiver Steve Smith in Studio 66 for the Dave Dameshek Football Program. Compared to Ryan Kalil's ambitious prognostication, my prediction seems about as bold as saying "The Dark Knight Rises" is going make a lot of money. (Seriously, Ryan, if you had just shot for the NFC South, it would have been enough.) My prediction for this Instant Debate is that the New York Giants will improve their record this season ... but fail to reach the playoffs. If you recall, the Giants won the NFC East with a 9-7 mark last year. (Funny, those who screamed bloody murder when the 9-7 Arizona Cardinals and 7-9 Seattle Seahawks were hosting playoff games became pretty darn silent when the Giants hosted the Atlanta Falcons last January.) Look for the Giants to go 10-6 this year after another great draft. Unfortunately, that won't be enough, and the Dallas Cowboys will end up taking the NFC East.

Around the League will do our own set of power rankings this year, but they will look a little different. Instead of straight rankings, we'll group teams by tier. Because tiers clearly are less arbitrary.
