NFL Preseason Power Rankings From SB Nation

These mean absolutely nothing, except to give you something to discuss as the minutes tick past before the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants hold their first training camp practice Friday at UAlbany. SB Nation, however, has released its preseason power rankings, and the Giants check in at No. 3.

Rankings were compiled using votes from all 32 of SB Nation's NFL team bloggers. The Giants got nine first-place votes.

Here is the top 10:

  1. Green Bay Packers (21 first-place votes)
  2. New England Patriots
  3. Giants (9 first-place votes)
  4. San Francisco 49ers (1 first-place vote)
  5. Houston Texans
  6. Baltimore Ravens
  7. Pittsburgh Steelers (1 first-place vote)
  8. New Orleans Saints
  9. Denver Broncos
  10. Philadelphia Eagles

Couple of interesting things to me. No first-place votes for New England, but the Patriots still finished No. 2 overall. Also, the Dallas Cowboys finished well down the board, 15th overall.
