Let's look at the safety position as we continue our voting for the 2012 Big Blue View Preseason All-NFC East Team.

Here are your nominees.

Kenny Phillips, Giants -- Maybe not as good as he could have been without the knee troubles he has had, but still pretty darn good. Four interceptions, 86 tackles and a Prof Football Focus rating of +8.3 last season, sixth among NFL safeties.

Gerald Sensabaugh, Cowboys -- Had two interceptions, 72 tackles and a PFF rating of +0.2 last season for a poor Dallas secondary.

Brandon Meriweather, Redskins -- A two-time Pro Bowler who did not have a good experience in Chicago with the Bears last season. He is looking to redeem himself in Dallas.

Antrel Rolle, Giants -- Overrated? Underrated? Everyone has an opinion about the outspoken Rolle. He had two interceptions, 100 tackles and a PFF score of -17.7 last season. That might not be fair, though, since he played out of position covering slot receivers much of the time.

Nate Allen, Eagles -- Entering his third year, Allen has been a starter all along for Philadelphia. He had two interceptions, 58 tackles and a PFF grade of +3.8 last season.
