When former New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs talks, something entertaining almost always comes out of his mouth. And today Jacobs is apparently talking about why he is no longer a member of the Super Bowl champion New York Giants. [via Pro Football Talk]
"It was just money, that’s all it was, a couple hundred thousand," Jacobs told Jim Rome of CBS.
Interestingly, Jacobs also told Rome he was "not happy about" leaving the Giants.
"I’m in a great place [now]," Jacobs said. "I’m not happy about it, but I’ve been there for seven years, won two Super Bowls.
"I wish I could have stayed, but I’m not complaining about where I am now, not at all."
At this point, the Giants and Jacobs are probably better off without each other. It seems like the Giants knew that, even if Jacobs didn't -- and still doesn't -- agree.
