The New York Giants have, as you know, won the Super Bowl twice in the last five seasons. But, which team was better, the 2007 Giants or the 2011 version?

For a little summer offseason project I thought I would spend some time going position-by-position and comparing. In some cases, like quarterback, that will mean comparing the 2007 version of a player to his 2011 version.

To give us a starting point, and out of curiosity, I used the simulator at WhatIfSports.com and ran games between the two teams 25 times. I thought the results would come out fairly even, but the '07 version of the Giants won 19 of those simulated games. I am trying to get the folks at 'WhatIf' to run a more exhaustive simulation, which might give us more conclusive data.

Before I begin a full-blown look at every position, though, I might as well just put the question out there. Which team do you think was better? Why? Vote in the poll, then drop a comment and let us know which team you chose and why.
