Mel Kiper Jr. Two-Round Mock: Coby Fleener, David Wilson To Giants

ESPN draft guru Mel Kiper Jr. has gone two rounds in version 4.0 of his 2012 NFL Mock Draft, which was just released Wednesday afternoon. Kiper has the New York Giants selecting Stanford tight end Coby Fleener in the first round (32nd overall) and Virginia Tech running back David Wilson in the second round, 63rd overall.

Kiper's selections would be a good haul for the Giants in the first two rounds, and both players seem like realistic options for the Giants if they are on the board at the time of the Giants' selections.

Of the Fleener pick, Kiper says:

The best tight end on the board, Fleener has the speed to be used off the line, where he can become a matchup problem and further diversify an already strong passing attack. Fleener has great hands, fantastic route-running ability and will become a big threat in the red zone. The Giants also need offensive line help, or could target a linebacker here, but Fleener fits. Of the Wilson pick, Kiper says:

They lose Brandon Jacobs, but Wilson will bring some power of his own, with a lot more explosiveness. [Wilson Profile]
