NFL Week 16, early games open thread

New, comments

There are a pair of 1 p.m. ET games on Sunday that should be of intense interest to New York Giants' fans -- and to the Giants, for that matter.

The Dallas Cowboys host the New Orleans Saints and the Washington Redskins travel to face the Philadelphia Eagles. The Giants are, of course, tied with the Cowboys and Redskins atop the NFC East, all three with 8-6 records. The Giants, though, would lose the division tie-breaker to either team should they finish with identical records.

There is a third game that should be interest, as well. The Minnesota Vikings are in Texas to face the Houston Texans. Minnesota is also 8-6 and battling for an NFC wild-card berth.

Just for grins you could also watch the New York Jets as they host the San Diego Chargers. If nothing else, that should make you feel better about the Giants.
