Giants' injury report: Baas, Diehl, Phillips, Bradshaw sit

Jim O'Connor-US PRESSWIRE

Center David Baas and right tackle David Diehl were among the four New York Giants who did not practice today as the team opened preparation for the Monday Night Football game against the Washington Redskins. Baas has a shoulder injury and head coach Tom Coughlin said Diehl is still "sore" after suffering a burner against the Green Bay Packers.

Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) and Kenny Phillips (knee) were the other Giants not practicing. Bradshaw has been practicing only once per week for the past several weeks. Coach Tom Coughlin said he hoped Phillips, who aggravated his knee injury Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, would practice on Friday.

Coughlin expressed some optimism about linebacker Jacquian Williams, who has been out for several weeks with a knee injury.
