So the schedule makers did the Giants one small favor--they only scheduled three games in November. I have to be honest, I'm getting tired of the November swoons, and I'm sort of looking forward to this Sunday watching NFL action with no stress. How about you guys? As for that NFL action, let's see what is on tap....
Miami at Buffalo--A few weeks ago, this would have been simple to pick. But after seeing the Dolphins lay an egg against a mediocre Titans team, and seeing the Bills take the Patriots to brink of defeat, who knows? I guess I'll go with that age-old adage--it's hard for Florida teams to win in Buffalo after Week 9. Bills 27, Dolphins 20
Cincinnati at Kansas City--You just know Andy Dalton will throw four interceptions on Sunday, right? Chiefs 20, Bengals 16
Jacksonville at Houston--This one is going to resemble a video game from the Houston side. From the Jags' side, it will look like, well, crud. Texans 38, Jaguars 10
NY Jets at St. Louis--Do you guys think at the start of the year the Jets were salivating at the prospect of playing the NFC West teams? Now it's the other way around. Rams 20, Jets 13
Cleveland at Dallas--This would be an upset of epic proportions for us if the Browns won, but I just don't see that happening. Cowboys 24, Browns 10
Tampa Bay at Carolina--Sure, the Bucs are on fire and the Panthers are underachieving, but I have to go with my gut here, and Cam is due. Panthers 30, Bucs 27
Arizona at Atlanta--The Falcons return to their winning ways at home. Falcons 36, Cardinals 17
Green Bay at Detroit--Memo to Jim Schwartz: please tire the Packers out. Hey, it was worth a shot. Packers 35, Lions 31
Philadelphia at Washington--Could this be the game Andy Reid finally gets the boot after? Redskins 26, Eagles 20
New Orleans at Oakland--Sheesh, the slate of games this week is kind of bogus. Can't wait for this barn burner. Saints 40, Raiders 24
San Diego at Denver--Could this be the game Norv Turner finally gets the boot after? Broncos 37, Chargers 23
Indianapolis at New England--The passing of a proverbial torch among QBs here? The re-kindling of a fierce AFC rivalry? At least this should be a good one. Patriots 27, Colts 26
Baltimore at Pittsburgh--I think that regardless of whether Big Ben plays on Sunday night, the Pittsburgh defense will play, and that will be the difference. Steelers 17, Ravens 10
Chicago at San Francisco--Could still be a beauty, but even though defense will reign in this game, nobody wants to see Jason Campbell vs. Colin Kaepernick. Niners 12, Bears 9
