There are no surprises for the New York Giants among the inactives for Sunday's 1 p.m. ET game against the Cleveland Browns. The list is as follows:
S Kenny Phillips (knee)
WR Hakeem Nicks (foot/knee)
WR Ramses Barden (concussion)
DT Rocky Bernard (quadricep)
CB Jayron Hosley (hamstring)
OT David Diehl (knee)
LB Keith Rivers (hamstring)
Stevie Brown will start in place of Phillips at safety. As we discussed earlier this week the absence of both Nicks and Barden leaves the Giants with only four active wide receivers. That could mean opportunities for Rueben Randle or Jerrel Jernigan to make some plays.
Defensive tackle will also be a position to watch as only Linval Joseph, Markus Kuhn and Marvin Austin will be available.
The Giants chose not to activate safety Tyler Sash for today's game. The Giants have to activate Sash by Monday afternoon or risk losing him to another team via waivers.
