Tom Coughlin Thursday press conference notes

Here are some of the highlights from the Thursday afternoon meeting with reporters held by New York Giants' coach Tom Coughlin.

Injury stuff

-- Antrel Rolle did not practice due to swelling in his left knee, but Coughlin said he is "hoping and feeling" Rolle will play Sunday vs. the Cleveland Browns.

-- Coughlin said he is confident cornerback Michael Coe will play, but did not say the same for Jayron Hosley.

-- Corey Webster has a hamstring issue to go along with his broken hand.

-- The swelling in Hakeem Nicks' knee is going down, but he is not ready to play.

-- There is "no change" in the condition of Ramses Barden (concussion).

Other stuff

On the rash of defensive injuries impacting the Giants' scheme:

"It causes you to give real strong consideration to how you're doing things and who's doing it. Hopefully it's not going to restrict us very much. Based on today, the guys that had a chance to practice today played and practiced hard. That's pretty much been the way it's been for us here. When someone is injured and can't go, someone else comes in and plays well or tried as hard as they can, and gives us a great effort."
