Q: What do you see in the Redskins?
A: We see a very competitive team; a very hard-fought Redskins team that has lost a few games but won a good amount, too. They play hard and that's something that we have to come in and match that intensity once again. They're a different team; a lot of the things they do are a little different. We're not really used to a lot of the defensive coverages they play and stuff like that. We have to make sure we're on top of our game this week.
Q: Does losing to this team twice last season serve as the motivation for this week?
A: Most definitely, but it's a new year and a new team and we should be motivated to play any division foe. I think that in itself should be motivation for us.
Q: Being 0-2 in the division, does that make this even more important?
A: Most definitely, most definitely. We have to get a quality win in the division this week and I think this week is a game that's a must-win for us, especially in the division, and to continue our positive play throughout the last two weeks.
Q: What do you think of RGIII's speed for a quarterback?
A: Yeah, he's a good player; he's out there making a lot of plays. He's got the ball in his hands obviously every play so he is making some good decisions. He's a special guy; our defense is going to have our hands full, but I think they'll be up for the task.
Q: Has he earned the nickname "RGIII" yet, or is he still "Bob?"
A: I don't know, I guess you'll have to ask Osi that question.
Q: They've given up 15 passing touchdowns, is it the style they play or just great play by their opponents?
A: I think it's a little bit of both. I think some guys have just been capitalizing on that defense that they play because it's a little unorthodox compared to the norm that we see on a day-to-day basis.
Q: What do you mean?
A: In the NFL, it's just different. Their corners play a different style; the safeties are heavily involved in the run game. It's just a different style of defense that we're looking at. It's just a matter of being on our p's and q's and understanding what we're getting on every coverage and every down; taking advantage of what we have in front of us.
Q: Will the recent success in the run game help the receivers?
A: It's definitely going to help. It's going to help keeping the defense honest and understanding that we have a threat back there running the football. As long as receivers are blocking in the run game, which will open things up for the pass as well. It should be a good game.
Q: Being 0-2 in the division is not good, how do you respond?
A: We know that's not good. In certain ways, this is probably a must-win game for us, especially in the division. We need to get ourselves a win in that win column in the division; we need it right now.
Q: Has it stuck with you knowing you never beat them last year?
A: A little bit. Not too much. It's a new year, and I think last year ended pretty well for us, so we weren't dwelling too much on it. This year, we feel like it's a new year. We do remember vaguely what they did to us last year and we have to come out; they're going to be fired up and we just have to match that intensity and come ready to play.
Q: Big difference for the Skins between last year and this year?
A: It's pretty different. They do a couple different things. It's going to be interesting to see how they play us as far as everything we've seen so far on film of them. It's going to be an exciting game for us.
