Good morning, New York Giants fans! Here is your Friday morning notebook. Today, a compilation of quotes from Giants' players on Thursday. Full transcripts available on our 'Transcripts' page.
Ahmad Bradshaw: [Full transcript]
Q: Would you like to carry the ball that many times during the game?
A: Every game. I feel like as many times as I can touch the ball is as many times I can make a lot of different plays and get a lot of yards, so I don't mind touching the ball at all that many times.Q: How satisfying was that performance for you?
A: I'm never satisfied. I always feel like we could have done better. We left a lot of plays on the field that we could have ended up with 250 maybe 300. I'm never satisfied and I just work for better.
Tom Coughlin: [Full transcript]
Q: Hakeem has missed so much time. Is that a big concern?
A: It is, no question, but he's into it. He's in every meeting. He listens to every comment made about the other receivers, guys at his position. He studies the tape. He's done all of those things. Has he repped every route? No.
Q: What are the keys to stopping their run game?
A: They're very diversified and, first of all, you have to recognize the personnel that's in the game and align accordingly and then it becomes the physical part of it... the one on one individual battles that take place in every game. They do have a few wrinkles that they use and you've got to adjust well to that. They run the option. They do some things of that nature and you have to have people in the right place at the right time and hopefully just don't allow them to get the ball outside, get it on the corner on the end and when they do come with it, the dive part of it has got to be taken care of.
Mathias Kiwanuka: [Full transcript]
Q: Do you feel a little slighted as a team that everyone looks at you guys as the underdog, but you're the Super Bowl Champions?
A: Not at all. We've been in this situation before and it doesn't matter what people say going into the game. The only thing that matters is how your guys come out of it and we know that if we go in there and get a win, we're putting ourselves in a good position to repeat, which is our main goal.
Hakeem Nicks: [Full transcript]
Q: With the stuff you've been able to do, do you feel rusty?
A: I really just went out there trying to see if I was showing any favoritism. I wasn't trying to see if I was catching every pass or anything like that. It was just a matter of if I was compensating. I felt pretty good today so it wasn't really up for me to decide. I need to go out there tomorrow, have a full practice. If I go through that, it'll be good.Q: How anxious are you to see how the knee responds?
A: I'm ready to see. It's been three games and I'm ready to get back out there. I have to be patient, and patience is a virtue. I've been down this road before, it's not anything new. I need to get back right.
