New York Giants 10, San Francisco 49ers 7. The Giants are halfway home at halftime of the NFC Championship Game, thanks mostly to the brilliance of Eli Manning and Victor Cruz.
Cruz has eight catches for 125 yards already, including a 36-yarder that set up the Giants first touchdown. Manning is 16-of-27 for 181 yards and one touchdown.
San Francisco struck first, stunning the Giants with a 73-yard first quarter touchdown pass from Alex Smith to Vernon Davis.
The Giants tied the game when Manning capped a 10-play, 69-yard drive in the second quarter with a six-yard pass to Bear Pascoe. Lawrence Tynes 31-yard field goal with five seconds left in the first half put the Giants into the lead for the first time.
The Giants have dominated time of possession, 18:03 to 11:57 and lead in overall yardage, 199-144. The single big play by the 49ers is the only real movement San Francisco has gotten on offense, although Frank Gore does have 46 yards rushing on nine carries.
