If the nightmare of last December 19 makes you break into a cold sweat, then this will come as good news to you. Well, it will come as good news to you either way. The Giants are in discussions with punter Brad Maynard to return to the team he began his career with in 1997, after Maynard was told that the Bears would not be retaining his services. Which of course means that Matt Dodge will have some serious and legitimate competition in training camp. That sound you just heard was a collective happy sigh coming from Giants' fans all over the world.
