Plaxico Burress: Giants Vs. Steelers?

I still don't believe this is a good idea, but it looks like free-agent wide receiver Plaxico Burress and the New York Giants will seriously investigate a reunion when Burress and Giants coach Tom Coughlin have dinner together on Friday.

According to reports, Burress' original team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, will also be meeting with the soon-to-be 34-year-old on Friday.

I really hate to agree with ESPN's Skip Bayless about anything, but I do agree with what he said about a Burress/Coughlin re-marriage.

"If I'm Plax there's no way I have anything to do with my old team, the New York Football Giants. ... I don't think he and Coughlin would get along for a whole season. I think that's pie in the sky that he's [Coughlin] mellowed that much."

Giants defensive end Justin Tuck has been beating the drum for a Burress return for a while, and he continued that today while talking with beat writers. Among the things Tuck said about Burress and Coughlin today was this gem:

"Hopefully a little time apart can rekindle the love they have for one another."

We have talked about Burress to the Giants what seems like a gazillion times already, but with this news we have to do it again.

What do you think guys? Yes or no to a return?
