What Is Going On With Osi Umenyiora?

The New York Giants have been a whirlwind of activity since the NFL Lockout was lifted earlier this week? It has been probably the craziest time in the 41/2 years I have been running this site (yes, folks, it has been that long).

We have heard news that Shaun O'Hara, Rich Seubert, Shawn Andrews and Rocky Bernard have been cut. We have, almost unbelievably, heard that the Giants are willing to at least talk to former wide receiver Plaxico Burress. We have heard that David Baas will come over from the San Francisco 49ers to play center. We have received news that coach Tom Coughlin has gotten a contract extension.

Today, we are also hearing lots of other rumors about Brandon Jacobs possibly restructuring his deal, Kevin Boss possibly re-signing with the Giants, Ahmad Bradshaw and the Giants are reportedly trying to work out a deal.

You know what we have not heard? One single word about the status of disgruntled defensive end Osi Umenyiora. I have nothing to report about Osi and the Giants, I just find it strange that with the crazy amount of action going on around the team none of it currently seems to have anything to do with Umenyiora.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who finds that, at least, a little bit curious.
