New York Giants Notes: Paul Posluszny Says Giants Are 'Possible'

Here are some notes of interest for you New York Giants fan, on what looks like a sweltering Tuesday in upstate New York.

Free agent linebacker Paul Posluszny linked to Giants | NJ.com
Posluszny talks about the Giants in a radio interview.

"I love Coach Fewell and the type of defense that he ran when we were in Buffalo, you know, had a good relationship together. Actually I have an uncle that lives in the New York area and he just sent me a text the other day saying he’s read on the internet that the Giants is a possible spot for me. I mean, so yes, there’s a lot of interesting possibilities out there and the one thing about free agency, all players, I think, you want to know your true value.

"You want to know how other teams value you and what they think of you, so that’s the interesting part of it," Posluszny said. "But, I mean, the Giants, along with several other teams, there are some interesting opportunities out there, that’s for sure."

DeSean Jackson Would Like To See Plaxico Burress In Philly

"Honestly, Plaxico just came out to California, me and him just catching up. You know, he was actually a good friend of mine, just looking up to him, playing with the Giants he was just always a phenomenal receiver. So that’s crazy everybody just talking about the Eagles, asking about other teams. But in my mind, I think he would love to come play for the Eagles, you know, he and Vick — he already kind of had a connection with Vick — with him being in prison and him kind of talking to him before. So it might be a connection, bro, I don’t know. But regardless, I wish the best for him, and if he was to come to Philadelphia I think it would be a dangerous combination."

NFL Hot Button Topic of the week - NFL - ESPN

DeAngelo Williams may be the better player, but Ahmad Bradshaw is the most important free-agent running back to his current team. The Carolina Panthers are deep at the position, and losing Williams wouldn't put a massive dent in their promising running game. The New York Giants need Bradshaw.

Bradshaw is an ascending player who does everything well. If the Giants can retain him, he is poised for a monster season running behind a very good offensive line that endured a lot of injuries last season. If the Giants' stable of wide receivers is healthy enough to keep teams from keying on Bradshaw, look out. The Giants would be in disarray without him.
