Eli Manning Would Take Plax Before Tiki

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning was making the media rounds today to promote his DirecTV 'Football Cops' ad campaign, and he had some interesting things to say. Most notably, Manning said Plaxico Burress would be welcome back as a Giant before Tiki Barber would.

Appearing on the Dan Patrick Show, Manning said Barber left "on a bad note." Click the link to the show to hear the entire podcast.

I think Eli's opinion probably mirrors that of most Giants fans. In reality, neither guy is coming back to the Giants. If one were to come back, though, it seems pretty obvious there would be more support for Burress than Barber.

During an interview with the Associated Press, Manning also expressed optimism about the NFL Lockout, saying "I do feel we will have a season."

On a lighter note, Manning was asked by AP about his 'Football Cops' mustache, which you guys probably remember I've been admiring. It's nicer than mine. Well, turns out Manning liked it, too.

"I have always been envious of people who have been able to grow a mustache," Manning said. "Mine just does not come in with the Tom Selleck thickness that I've always wanted."
