Steve Smith Again Tackles Talk About His Knee

New York Giants' wide receiver Steve Smith is again using his Facebook page to tackle rumors about the condition of his surgically-repaired knee.

I promise, this time I had nothing to do with the speculation about the condition of Smith's knee. This time, Pro Football Weekly is discussing the possibility of Smith landing on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list to start the season.

Smith, of course, is recovering from microfracture surgery and there has been a good deal of conjecture regarding his recovery from the complicated surgery. The drafting of wide receiver Jerrel Jernigan by the Giants in the third round probably only fueled the rumor mill.

Here is what Smith wrote on Facebook this time:

"I dont kno/care where reports like this come from, but all im gonna say is dont believe everything u hear!! my knee is feeling real good and the doctor gave me a great report very recently!! YOURS TRULY, THE HORSES MOUTH lol."

Just like last time I will toss out an open invitation to Smith to come to Big Blue View and answer any questions about his knee -- or anything else -- if he would like.
