BBV Community Mock Draft 2011: Rahim Moore, Mason Foster Off The Board

Our 2011 Big Blue View Community Mock Draft is rolling along. Today, the Minnesota Vikings have nabbed UCLA safety Rahim Moore with the 43rd pick and the Detroit Lions grabbed Washington outside linebacker Mason Foster with the 44th.

The only thing that doesn't upset me about the selection of Foster by the Lions is that I took Akeem Ayers for the New York Giants in the first round. If the Giants don't grab a linebacker in the first round of the real draft, Foster is a terrific Round 2 target.

Minnesota (43rd overall) -- Rahim Moore, S, UCLA

With the best QBs off the board, I'm forced to look elsewhere with this pick, but I am fortunate that the best safety in a regrettably weak class fell here. The Vikings secondary might have even been as bad as the '09 Giants, so you can see the value here. Anyone concerned with the Vikings QB position can still feel at ease--remember they do have Rhett Bomar y'know. -- RolloT

Detroit (44th overall) -- Mason Foster, OLB, Washington

With the offensive line taken care of in the 1st round, the Lions turn their attention to addressing their OLB need. I was hoping for Brandon Harris to fall, but with him gone, no CB was worth this pick. Bruce Carter was not the pick because the injury concerns are way too high to justify a high 2nd round pick. Mason Foster was an incredibly productive team captain at Washington, and should be a solid fixture at WILL for the Lions for years to come. -- BigBlueIntervention
