New York Giants' Draft Busts: No. 7 ... Thomas Lewis

As we hit No. 7 on our list of worst New York Giants No. 1 draft picks since 1960 we come to a wide receiver with blazing speed who the Giants drafted 24th out of Indiana in 1994.

Lewis spent four seasons with the Giants and caught just 74 balls. He had one decent season in 1996, catching 53 passes. Otherwise, was never a factor. In creating his own list of worst Giants draft choices in his 2002 'New York Giants Book of Lists' Ken Palmer wrote this about Lewis:

"Giants should have realized Lewis had no desire to play before selecting him first."

Read the list of players the Giants could have selected after the jump and you might think this pick should go higher on the list. It's really awful.

Players The Giants Could Have Had

William Floyd (27th, FB, San Francisco)
Derrick Alexander (28th, WR, Cleveland) ... Caught 417 passes in a nine-year career.
Darney Scott (30th, WR, Cinncinnati) ... Caught 408 passes in an eight-year career
Tre' Johnson (31st, OG, Washington) ... Nine-year career, one Pro Bowl appearance
Isaac Bruce (33rd, WR, Rams) ... Four-time Pro Bowler with 1,024 career catches over 14 seasons
Kevin Mawae (36th, C, Seattle) ... Eight-time Pro Bowler in a 16-year career
