BBV Community Mock Draft 2011: Cameron Heyward Finally Selected

Here are the most recent selections in the second round of our Big Blue View Community Mock Draft.

Tennessee (39th overall) -- Brandon Harris, CB, Miami

My knuckles are white with the picks of both Ponder AND Mallet immediately above Tennessee's 2nd round slot, as these are two potentially excellent starting QBs (especially Ponder, which would've made for a great draft for the Titans). So I'm going with Brandon Harris, CB, Miami who is IMO not only the BPA, but fills an area of somewhat-need with the headcase that is Cortland Finnegan and the young stable of relatively unknown CBs behind him. -- RealLT

Dallas (40th overall) -- Cameron Heyward, DE, Ohio State

I had planned on grabbing Wisniewski or Ben Ijalana here -- but am I the only one with Cam Heyward as first-round talent? He'll need to put on 15 pounds of muscle to be a 3-4 DE.

My take: This did not turn out well for Tennessee. The Titans needed to land one of the top-tier quarterbacks, and they are gone. A fabulous value pick for the Cowboys by Simms-McConkey. It happens to a couple of players every year, but how in the world did Heyward slide all the way to the 40th pick here?
