Amidst all the hub-bub of the 2011 NFL Draft it is easy to forget that veteran NFL players were allowed to go back to work today, getting full access to NFL facilities. According to various reports, several New York Giants were at the Timex Performance Center today.
Players were allowed to meet with coaches, watch film, use rehab facilities, work out. Whatever they needed to do, just like a normal off-season. Though we know, this off-season has been anything but normal. ESPN New York offered one report of what was going on at the Timex. I have re-tweeted a bunch of updates over on the Big Blue View Twitter -- yes, I know how to use Twitter! -- so you can see more about who showed up today and who did what.
There is a possibility that regular off-season OTAs could begin Monday in the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals does not grant the stay the owners are looking for -- which would put the lockout back in place while owners appeal.
