Over the past five years Rick Gosselin of the Dallas Morning News has been, by far, the most accurate of any mock drafter tracked by The Huddle Report. Gosselin's work is generally hidden behind a pay wall at DMN, but his final mock draft is still making its way around the Inter-Google this morning.
Many of you are not going to like his final choice for the New York Giants -- Colorado offensive tackle Nate Solder [full profile].
I have been saying this for a while, but this pick would not stun me in the least. At 6-foot-9, 315 pounds, Solder has been called a "rare physical specimen." We know Jerry Reese loves those. He is also seen as an unfinished product who might have more upside than any left tackle in this draft class. Again, Reese loves those types of players.
We will see what happens, but this to me is very realistic -- especially since Mike Pouncey is already off Gosselin's board.
By the way, Gosselin has an incredible five quarterbacks -- yes, five -- going in the first 12 picks.
