New York Giants' Top 10 Draft Successes: No. 5 ... Tiki Barber

Let's get this out of the way. I don't like Tiki Barber, not even a little bit. I don't like the selfishness he displayed toward the end of his career. I don't like the way he criticized his coach in the press. I don't like what has gone on in his life since he retired. I don't like his attempt at a comeback.

Considering the tremendous player he was, though, it is utterly impossible to call this a credible list of draft successes without putting Atiim Kiambu Barber on it.

A second-round pick out of Virginia in the 1997 draft (36th overall) he is the classic example of why you don't need to draft running backs in the first round. The guy is the leading rusher in franchise history with 10,449 yards asn 12th on the all-time list with 15,632. There is no denying how tremendous of a player he was.

Yes, we all know what else Barber is. No denying he belongs on our list, though.
