If there is an NFL pre-season, we now know who the New York Giants will play. The NFL released its pre-season schedule today and the Giants will face Carolina, Chicago, the New York Jets and New England in their four pre-season games.
The Giants open the pre-season at Carolina somewhere between Aug. 11-15, with the exact date still to be determined.
They host a nationally-televised game against the Chicago Bears on Monday, Aug. 22. The Giants will host the Jets at New Meadowlands Stadium somewhere between Aug. 25-29 and will be at New England in their pre-season finale. This will be the seventh consecutive season in which the Giants and Patriots have concluded the pre-season by playing each other.
The Giants will visit both the Jets and Patriots in the 2011 regular season. That schedule is expected to be announced later this month.
Now, of course, all we can do is cross our fingers and hope there really is a pre-season.
