BBV Community Mock Draft 2011, Second Round: Randall Cobb, Orlando Franklin Taken

Two more choices have been made in the 2011 Big Blue View Community Mock Draft. Follow the jump to see the 47th and 48th selections.

St. Louis (47th overall) -- Randall Cobb, WR, Kentucky

In the interests of moving along, I made this pick myself. There is a lot of disagreement over who is the best wide receiver on the board, but the Rams need somebody for Sam Bradford to throw to. To me, Cobb seems like the safest choice so that is where I went.

Oakland (48th overall) -- Orlando Franklin, OG, Miami

Oakland has lost or could lose two big name or at least well known players in OG Robert Gallery and CB NnamdiAsomugha. These players need to be replaced in the starting lineup.

Despite all the injuries on the OL resulting in several reshuffles the running game worked well for Oakland. The passing game featured more plays to the RB and TE which showed a lack of production from the WR position where L Murphy led the WR's with 41 catches and 2009 first round pick yet to live up to his draft position.

Sacking the QB was not a problem for the Raiders although the run defense was porous.

Looking at the big board does see some WR's available including Jonathan Baldwin, who some have ranked in the first round, but his sloppy routes puts me off. The remaining CB's and S's left do not warrant being taken this high.

Oakland has a choice of a good group of second tier OL and decides to go that route and selects OL Orlando Franklin to slot in at OG straight away with the option that he could move outside when he has gained a little weigth.

-- 'ct17' is on the clock with Jacksonville's pick at 49. I would like to get all three of those picks done on Tuesday so that we can focus on the Giants' selection at 52 on Wednesday.
