NFL Pro Days Begin Today

New, comments

In our continuing effort to talk football, when it seems real football might be a long way off, let's talk about NFL Pro Days. With the NFL Scouting Combine having come and gone, the Pro Days provide another chance for players to strut their stuff in front of NFL teams.

SB Nation's Mocking The Draft has a schedule, by date, of the Pro Days. NFL.com also has a schedule, by school, including the names of the players who will be working out.

The Pro Days begin today with Baylor, FAU, Tulane and Utah State. The Baylor workout should be of special interest to New York Giants fans. Highly-regarded offensive guard Danny Watkins [full profile], a potential early-round pick, is working out during the school's Pro Day.

I have no idea what the Giants think of Watkins, but once most of the offensive tackles are off the board on Draft Day this April he could be a guy General Manager Jerry Reese might consider to try and add some youth to the team's aging offensive line.
