You know the deal, New York Giants fans. The Giants lead the NFC East based on tie-breakers and control their own playoff destiny as long as they continue to win games. It certainly would help, however, if the Dallas Cowboys would lose.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers get a chance to help the Giants out Saturday night (8:20 p.m. ET/NFL Network) when they host the Cowboys.
The Bucs are a disappointing 4-9 this season, having lost seven in a row. Young quarterback Josh Freeman has 20 turnovers this season after having just nine a season ago. None of that should give Giants fans much hope that they will get some help from the Bucs.
Tampa Bay is at home, though, and we know the Cowboys are reeling after consecutive stunning losses to the Arizona Cardinals and the Giants. Maybe the Bucs can help the Giants, and push Jerry Jones even closer to pushing Jason Garrett off the Cowboys coaching ledge.
