Report: Giants' Justin Tuck Unlikely To Play Today

Justin Tuck is unlikely to play for the New York Giants this afternoon against the Arizona Cardinals, according to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter. He has been battling neck and groin injuries.

"Tuck still plans to test his injuries in pregame warm-ups and always could change his mind, but his mindset going into Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals is that he will not play," wrote Schefter.

Earlier in the week, Tuck had said "If I get on that plane to Arizona, I am playing." If Tuck does not play this would be the second game he has missed this season. He did not play in the season-opening loss to the Washington Redskins due to the neck injury.

Per Schefter, it does appear that Osi Umenyiora will make his 2011 debut this afternoon. Umenyiora has not played this season after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery during the preseason. It will be interesting to see how many snaps the Giants give Umenyiora, particularly if Tuck does not play.
