Bear Is Back! Bear Pascoe Added to Roster, Bryan Kehl Waived

All is right with the New York Giants universe. Bear Pascoe is back on the 53-man roster.

The Giants today signed Pascoe, who played in four games in 2009, from their practice squad and released linebacker Bryan Kehl.

This is a move the Giants desperately needed to make with Kevin Boss (concussion) uncertain for Sunday's game against Indianapolis, and Travis Beckum the only other tight end on the roster.

Kehl had three special teams tackles (two solo) in the Carolina game. He joined the Giants as a fourth-round draft choice in 2008 and played in 31 games with three starts. Last year, Kehl tied Zak DeOssie for the team lead with 16 special teams tackles. In his first two years, he had 32 tackles (19 solo) and an interception on defense.

The only problem I have with this move is that it never should have been necessary in the first place. Pascoe should have been on the 53-man roster from the beginning.
