As you might expect, the folks at the celebrity gossip site TMZ are all over the Lawrence Taylor rape allegation story.
As I type this, they have a live stream set up for a news conference by police officials. TMZ has details on how much LT allegedly paid his accuser, LT claiming his innocence, Taylor's wife claiming LT was set up and other tawdry details.
I hate this story. I hate celebrity gossip sites like TMZ, too, but I have to say that it is the place to go for the scoop on stories like this.
I won't rush to judgment on this, and I hope you won't either. The talking heads on the radio I have heard today have already tried and convicted LT, put him in prison for the rest of his life and decided he is one of the worst human beings to ever walk the planet.
