So, gang, at this point what would you like to see the Giants do before the NFL Draft?
The Giants have signed Sammy Knight to replace the departed Gibril Wilson at safety.
Veteran cornerback Brian Kelly, who has spent the last 10 years with Tampa Bay, is visiting the Giants today. Signing Kelly would likely be bad news for RW McQuarters.
Would you like to see Kelly signed? In your mind, what else needs to be done? Are there any 'must-have' players out there?
Maybe you want to see the Giants re-open talks with Atlanta for cornerback DeAngelo Hall. That seems unlikely to happen at this point, but let me know what you think.
When free agency opened last week the Giants kicked the tires on Cleo Lemon and Todd Collins as potential backup quarterbacks, but signed neither.
Trent Green is still out there. You interested? Personally, of all the quarterbacks available, I think Green would be the best option. Provided, that is, he is healthy enough to play after a series of bad concussions. If not Green, who else? Joey Harrington? Kelly Holcomb? Gus Frerotte? Any of those guys an improvement over Anthony Wright and Jared Lorenzen? How about shooting for Byron Leftwich?
Since we lost linebackers Kawika Mitchell and Reggie Torbor, do any of the available free-agent linebackers get you fired up? Should the Giants make a play for Michael Boley, the restricted free agent with Atlanta?
I can't see anything big coming, especially the way GM Jerry Reese has done things the past two off-seasons.
Regardless, let me know if there is anything you think the Giants absolutely should do.
