Arrogance extends to Pats' organization

Throughout the two weeks leading up to Sunday's Super Bowl we have seen several examples of smug, assuming New England boosters already hawking 19-0 stuff.

There have been the 19-0 commemorative T-shirts. The 19-0 book. The championship parade planned by the City of Boston.

All of that is annoying to anyone outside of New England. But the latest insult has my blood boiling.

The Patriots -- yes, the team itself -- have applied for federal trademarks on the terms "19-0" and "19-0 -- The Perfect Season."

Now I'm angry. That means the Patriots as an organization are simply dismissing the Giants and assuming perfection.

Of course, I have always wanted the Giants to win Sunday. This kind of arrogance, though, would make a victory that much sweeter.
