Jacobs, Droughns are sticking together

There a really nice article on USA Today's Web site today about the bond that has formed between Brandon Jacobs and Reuben Droughns as they try to replace Tiki Barber.

Here are a few training camp notes. To be fair, the only practice I've seen was Sunday afternoon. Most of this is coming strictly from the numerous reports I've read.

• Remember the name Marco Thomas. It seems like every day the fleet-footed rookie free agent wide receiver is getting attention for hauling in long touchdown passes. He might be mounting a serious challenge for the final wide receiver spot.

Jared Lorenzen has been impressive every day, including in the workout I watched. Tim Hasselbeck has been invisible.

Mathias Kiwanuka is struggling mihgtily to master pass coverage as he transitions from defensive end to linebacker.

• According to Ernie Palladino of the Journal News, Josh Huston outkicked Lawrence Tynes again on Tuesday. That was the same thing I saw on Sunday.

I'll check in later if anything happens with the Simeon Rice or Michael Strahan situations.
