In the new CBA any second practices will apparently be allowed to have a "helmet-less, non-contact practice" for the second workout. In other words, a glorified walk-thru. Yuck!
Ugh! NFL players and league officials traded more useless public words today regarding the 2011 NFL Lockout, talking about getting a deal DONE rather than sitting down and actually GETTING A DEAL DONE. C'mon, guys. Enough already. Stop talking and make a deal.

Eli Manning seems to have upgraded workout facilities. A Star-Ledger report indicated that Manning worked out last week at Duke University with receivers Hakeem Nicks and Jerrel Jernigan, the third-round draft pick. In reality, any work is helpful.
Pro Football Talk has a different take on the John Mara interview I wrote about on Thursday. In retrospect, Mike Lupica let Mara off easy. He let Mara give his canned answers without pressing him for details on the actual things the owners hate about the 2006 CBA.
