Pacman, Cowboys a perfect marriage

Have the Dallas Cowboys offered Tennessee a player along with a 7th-round draft choice for Adam "Pacman" Jones? That seems to depend on who you ask.

Blogging the Boys has a great breakdown of the Cowboys' apparent pursuit of the troubled former Tennessee star.

Pacman apparently wants to be a Cowboy, and Dallas seems to be at the top of the list of potential destinations for Jones -- provided of course that Roger Goodell lets Pacman back in the league.

All I can is good luck controlling THAT locker room, Wade Phillips! Add Jones to Terrell "Crybaby" Owens, Tony "Mr. Simpson" Romo, Tank Johnson and some of the other personalities in that locker room and Phillips will have no chance.

There are also rumors that owner Jerry Jones is interested in enigmatic Cincinnati wide receiver Chad Johnson. Yikes!

Personally, as a Giants' fan, it wouldn't bother me at all to see the Cowboys bring in all these guys. With the loss of various coaches and front office personnel, Jason Garrett waiting in the wings to replace Phillips and Jerry Jones star-gazing I think Dallas is a team on the brink of imploding.

Bringing in all these volatile personalities can only hasten the implosion. I'm all for it.

Its a double edged sword
Talent-wise, they'd be just flat out scary

Locker room-wise, they'd be even scarier

But after his "the best team lost" comments, I say Wade Phillips gets exactly what he deserves

Maybe we can find a way to get Dallas to sign Jeff George, Lawrence Phillips, and Maurice Clarett too!

NY fans
there is a heated argument over whos better eli or ben r. over at the steelers site. http://www.behindthesteelcurtain.com/

I jumped in
with some of my own feelings. To put Eli as low as the Steelers' blogger did in his rankings is an insult to Eli, and a refusal to acknowledge what happened in the playoffs and Super Bowl.

I can see it
Unless you watch every game like we do, it's tough to see the difference between Bad Eli and Good Eli.  They look like two different QBs.  It an oversimplification but for most of his career I think you could tell whether a pass was going to be complete or not just by watching him in the pocket.  I think it's tough for people who have only seen highlights to see the transformation that we saw in the playoffs.

Jerry Jones
I know most of you are Yankees fans, but is Jerry Jones reminding anyone else of the late 80's George Steinbrenner? Screw the chemistry, let's just throw a lot of money at a lot of talented players, clubhouse chemistry be damned...

It didn't work for Big Stein, and I don't expect it to work for Jones, especially since I believe chemistry to be even more important in football than it is in baseball. All I can say is, keep it up Jerry!

Your right
I'm a Yankees fan and I completely agree with you. The Yanks probably would have never built that 90's dynasty if George hadn't been pushed to the sidelines. Chemistry is extremely important in football and the Giants are the perfect example. Turmoil for a few years under TC = 1st round playoff exits. Great chemistry after TC changes and some weeding out = superbowl.

Dallas please sign all these malcontents and we'll laugh our ^$& off when you implode!!

Jones was good when he came into the league.
He dumped Landry, which might have been a mistake.  Had the game passed him by?  I don't know.
Getting all those players for Hershell Walker was a stroke of genius and provided the foundation for those championship teams fielded under his ownership.  Let's face it, though, the man's a putz and gets worse as he ages.  (Like Al Davis, except Jones has some marbles left.)

Roger Goodell
Could really make his mark. He has already set a trend of not "pussy footing" around suspensions. Pacman Jones is a bad person. Anyone check his rap sheet? Please do, and he defends himself in almost all cases with no remorse. Let Pac Man Jones take this to court (over his civil liberties), but the NFL has googles to spend on a court case while Jones has limited resources. I'd break this guy down if I were the NFL. I am even surprised Jerry Jones, a great business man and marketing person, wants to have someone like this associated with him.
