More disrespect for Eli

SI.com's Peter King has released his quarterback rankings, and once again the Giants Eli Manning has been dissed.

Eli ranks 22nd of the 32 quarterbacks on King's list.

Here is what King had to say about the Giants QB.

Eli Manning, who could playing for two jobs this year (his own and Tom Coughlin's), enters the pop charts at number 23. He'll need to be feistier and significantly more accurate, neither of which I am confident will happen, to save his career in the Meadowlands.

We've discussed this before when Fannation.com ranked Eli 23rd.

King is right that Eli needs to be feistier and more accurate. Do you guys think King is also right that Manning might get run out of town if he doesn't have a big 2007 season?

Eli is the canary
on this article. He insists that wins matter yet ranks him 23rd? I don't know why Eli Manning's "intangibles" are worth exactly half those of Trent Green, and exactly as much as those of Travaris Jackson. Apparently +1 intangible is enough to make up for Mike Vick trailing Manning in YPA, wins, completion %, yards, etc. Yet that doesn't explain why Trent Green, with +3 tangibles over Vick and twice that of Manning, is below either.

It is crazy.

King's List
I actually think this is the most ridiculous thing he's ever written. 23rd? Really Peter? Cutler? What the hell has Cutler done to be ahead of Eli, but ruin his team's chances at making the playoffs last year. Hasn't Eli lead his team to the playoffs? Twice? What has Matt Shaub done? Nothing! King is gotta lay off the crack.

Peter King
I lose more respect for King pretty much every time he puts pen to paper, fingers to keyboard or whatever. This list is a joke. If anything, considering how badly he has played the last couple of years, you could put Brett Favre 23rd and make a good case that he belongs there.
