Panthers sign WR Parker

Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - The Carolina Panthers signed wide receiver Samie Parker on Tuesday. Parker, who was signed by Denver as an unrestricted free agent on April 15 and released on Monday, spent the first four seasons of his career playing for Kansas City, where he tallied 110 receptions for 1,529 yards and seven touchdowns. The 27-year-old had 24 grabs for 298 yards and two scores last season with the Chiefs. The Oregon product was a fourth-round selection by the Chiefs in the 2004 draft. Also on Tuesday, the Panthers released wide receiver Sean Bailey.
