Jacksonville, FL (Sports Network) - Miami Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown was forced to leave Saturday's preseason contest with the Jacksonville Jaguars after suffering an apparent thumb injury.
His return was listed as questionable.
Brown, whose 2007 campaign was cut short by a knee injury, left the game late in the first quarter following a three-yard pass reception from Chad Pennington. Brown missed the last nine games for Miami last season and underwent reconstructive ACL surgery last November.
The Auburn product had 602 yards rushing with a 5.1-yard average and four touchdowns in seven games last season for the Fins. He also added 39 receptions for 389 yards with one score in an all-around ugly 1-15 season for the team.
Brown finished with two yards on two rushing attempts to go along with the three-yard catch.
