UCF player dies after workout

Orlando, FL (Sports Network) - University of Central Florida wide receiver Ereck Plancher died after offseason conditioning drills on the school's campus, according to WBBH TV.
University spokesman Joe Hornstein told the station that Plancher, a redshirt freshman, was pronounced dead shortly before noon Tuesday at an Orlando area hospital.
Details are still unclear, but Plancher reportedly took a knee during conditioning drills and soon became unresponsive.
Central Florida had been scheduled to begin spring practice Wednesday but sessions will now be cancelled until further notice.
