Recap: San Diego vs. Kansas City

San Diego, CA (Sports Network) - Philip Rivers threw for 316 yards and two touchdowns, including the go-ahead score late in the fourth, to lead the San Diego Chargers in a 20-19 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Rivers was 27-of-36 passing and also tossed a pair of interceptions for the Chargers (4-5), who snapped a two-game slide. LaDainian Tomlinson gained 78 yards on 22 carries and added four catches for 39 yards. Antonio Gates and Malcolm Floyd both caught TD passes in the win.

Tyler Thigpen was solid in the start, throwing for 266 yards and three TDs on 27-of-41 passing and also running for 26 yards for the Chiefs (1-8), who have let five straight contests slip away. Tony Gonzalez caught 10 balls for 113 yards and two scores, while Mark Bradley had 81 yards on nine catches with a score.
