Saints RB Bush inactive; Shockey, Patten active

Sports Network | November 09, 2008

Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush was inactive for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons, as he is still recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery.

Bush hurt the knee in a loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 7, and he has not played since. The former Heisman Trophy winner leads the Saints with eight touchdowns this season, including three on punt returns. He is the team's leading rusher with 294 yards and has also posted 42 catches for 366 yards.

Tight end Jeremy Shockey and wide receiver David Patten were both active for Sunday's game. Shockey has played in the past two games but missed the previous three after undergoing sports hernia surgery. He has 22 receptions for 207 yards this season.

Patten has missed the last four games with a groin injury. On the season, he has nine receptions for 127 yards and a touchdown.
