Jags LB Peterson returns to team

Sports Network | November 07, 2008

Jacksonville, FL (Sports Network) - Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Mike Peterson returned to the team on Friday after being sent home earlier in the week by head coach Jack Del Rio.

Peterson and Del Rio met Friday morning. There was no immediate word if the team's defensive captain would play Sunday against Detroit.

Earlier this week it was reported that Del Rio was upset with Peterson after he celebrated a sack in the third quarter of this past Sunday's game against Cincinnati with the Jags trailing 21-3.

The Jaguars went on to lose 21-19, giving the Bengals their first win of the season.

Peterson, 32, has registered 49 tackles in nine games this season.
