Jags LB Peterson not at practice Thursday

Jacksonville, FL (Sports Network) - Jacksonville Jaguars middle linebacker Mike Peterson, who was sent home from practice Wednesday by head coach Jack Del Rio, was not with the team for Thursday's practice.
A report on the team's website said that Del Rio was apparently upset at a sack celebration by Peterson, a defensive captain, in the third quarter of this past Sunday's 21-19 loss at Cincinnati. The Jaguars were behind, 21-3, at the time of the play.
However, after an undisclosed incident during Wednesday's practice, Del Rio decided to send Peterson away. The punishment is apparently due to the Sunday incident as well as lingering resentment between the head coach and Peterson over a contract dispute.
Del Rio didn't comment on Peterson's status for this Sunday's game at Detroit. The Jaguars are 3-5 and have dropped their last two games.
Peterson, 32, has registered 49 tackles in nine games this season.
