Sports Network | November 05, 2008

Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) - The Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to two- year contracts with cornerbacks Ricardo Colclough and David Macklin.

Colclough has appeared in 36 games with Pittsburgh and Cleveland since he was selected by the Steelers with the 38th overall pick of the 2004 NFL Draft. He has 37 tackles, 2 1/2 sacks and an interception on defense, and has also averaged 21.7 yards on 49 kickoff returns.

The Tusculum College product played three games for the Steelers last year before being waived and claimed by Cleveland. He was inactive for nine games with the Browns, then signed as a free agent with Carolina in March but was released before the start of the season.

Macklin has played in 116 games over eight seasons with Indianapolis, Arizona and Washington. He signed as a free agent with St. Louis this summer, but was released before the start of the season.

The Penn State product has compiled 357 tackles, including 286 solo, with 14 interceptions, a sack, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in his career. He was selected in the fourth round by Indianapolis and spent four seasons with the Colts before playing two years with Arizona and one with Washington.

Kansas City also agreed to terms of a three-year contract with defensive end Wallace Gilberry. The Alabama product had been a member of the practice squad with the New York Giants.

A first-team All-SEC performer last year with the Crimson Tide, Gilberry finished his collegiate career with 188 tackles and 21 1/2 sacks in 50 games.
