Recap: Minnesota vs. Houston

Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Gus Frerotte threw three touchdown passes and Adrian Peterson rushed 25 times for 139 yards and a score as the Minnesota Vikings beat up the Houston Texans for a 28-21 win.

Jared Allen had two sacks for Minnesota (4-4), which put constant pressure on Texans quarterbacks, knocking out Matt Schaub in the process.

Sage Rosenfels came on in the second half and completed 21-of-29 passes for 224 yards with two touchdowns and an interception for Houston (3-5), which saw its franchise-best three-game win streak come to an end.

Frerotte completed 11-of-18 passes for 182 yards and was picked off once for the Vikings, who have won three of four. Bernard Berrian had two catches, one for 55 yards that set up Peterson's score, and a 49-yard touchdown for Minnesota.

Schaub completed 11-of-16 passes for 139 yards and an interception before leaving with an apparent knee injury after the first half. Owen Daniels had 11 catches for 133 yards, and Andre Johnson had four grabs for 62 yards and a score for Houston, which had rebounded with three home wins after an 0-4 start, but fell to 0-4 on the road.
